We are very excited to announce that Austin Family Counseling will be hosting a FREE parenting workshop at our office on Saturday, September 6, 2014 1:00 pm-2:00 pm on Positive Discipline. “Positive Disciple is for parents who are looking for long-term parenting skills that will encourage their children to think for themselves, become more responsible, and have greater respect for themselves and others. Non-punitive, respectful methods of parenting are taught in a way that incorporates kindness and firmness to help parents get to the core of their child’s misbehavior, bring more joy to the home, and full a sense of accomplishment.
This is Part 2 in our FREE workshop series. If you missed Part 1, not to worry, you are more than welcome to attend this session. There will be new ideas and tips for successful and creative parenting tools!
This workshop is also open to non-patients of our practice – any and all adults welcome! Again, it is completely FREE.

July 4th Hours!
In observance of Independence Day, the office will be closed on Friday, July 4th. Please call our after-hours Seton Call Center Line 512-324-3248 with any medically related questions or concerns. As a reminder, our office will close at 12 pm on Thursday, July 3rd, as per our regular hours.

Dr. Elaine Hamilton is an experienced, Board-certified pediatrician and mother of three children. She provides personalized, comprehensive care from birth through 18 years in a small office setting. She established Westlake Pediatrics in 2000.
She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families well, watching them grow and thrive, and helping them stay healthy and happy. She believes that getting regular physical activity, eating nutritious foods, and making time for recreation and relaxation are the keys to optimal health and wellness. She lives a healthy lifestyle and promotes her beliefs by example. She prescribes medications judiciously, especially antibiotics, and keeps the medical ethics pledge “first, do no harm” in mind when treating patients.
Dr. Hamilton is fluent in Spanish.
A walk-in sick clinic is available Monday-Friday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for new and established patients with acute illnesses. You do not need to call before coming in during that time.
