Dr. Elaine Hamilton is an experienced, Board-certified pediatrician and mother of three children. She provides personalized, comprehensive care from birth through 18 years in a small office setting. She established Westlake Pediatrics in 2000.
She enjoys getting to know her patients and their families well, watching them grow and thrive, and helping them stay healthy and happy. She believes that getting regular physical activity, eating nutritious foods, and making time for recreation and relaxation are the keys to optimal health and wellness. She lives a healthy lifestyle and promotes her beliefs by example. She prescribes medications judiciously, especially antibiotics, and keeps the medical ethics pledge “first, do no harm” in mind when treating patients.
Dr. Hamilton is fluent in Spanish.
A walk-in sick clinic is available Monday-Friday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for new and established patients with acute illnesses. You do not need to call before coming in during that time.
Flu Shots and Flumist are available now!
Flu vaccines are recommended for EVERYONE starting at 6 months of age. The more people that are immunized, the less flu illness that will go around.
There are many misconceptions about the flu vaccine; see CDC’s page on vaccines for accurate information.
- Flumist can be given to those between 2-49 years of age, with no history of asthma or wheezing within the last year. Other restrictions apply.
- Flu shots can be given to those 6 months and older.*
- Parents may receive the vaccine in our office: $35 for the shot, $50 for the Flumist.
*Patients under 9 years of age who have not received a previous flu shot will need a second dose 1 month after the first.
Please call to schedule your flu vaccine.
